Dave - I stand in opposition to the proposed Great Lakes Basin railway project - this project will have a permanent negative impact on land use. I currently deal with utility towers that were placed on our family farm under eminent domain many years ago. I continue to feel their affect today in various ways related to land use (irrigation system unfeasibility to mention one). A railroad project would be FAR more invasive and include the HIGH probability of damage from de-railment and related commodity spills to those who are in it's path. The utility lines I mentioned at least carry needed electricity that everyone benefits from - the rail system benefits, to those most affected, would be practically zero. Thank you for your careful consideration of my concern.
