We don't want the proposed railway here! It will cause numerous disruptions to our way of life and we are all on wells of various depths. If there is a wreck and spill of some chemical it will pollute the ground water! We have no alternative for water. There are different streams through out the aquifer some can be just below the surface and flow into the deeper underground water. If there is just one spill the whole water system in the area can be destroyed. We also have a lot of wildlife. Deer and coyotes and they don't know how to get out of the way of trains. I moved out to the country 27 years ago from the noisy polluted region. This is the last vestige of peace in Lake County. My husband commutes to the mills so we can't move any farther. The sound here is very magnified like on a lake. It would be worse than being in a flight path! The ground rumbles whenever the train in Lowell goes through a few times a day and that's 5 miles away! We cannot get away from the noise in the house if that railway is allowed to go through. So please! With all that is human, vote no. Our farmers would be devastated our water and way of life would be ruined. Thank you for your time. Sincerely Dawn Straughen.
