We live and farm in section 29 of Johnstown township Road County, Wisconsin. The proposed railroad would be right through 24 acres of our farms' most productive soil. We are against the proposed railroad coming through prime and fertile farmland. They are proposing building a rail system in a natural flow of water. One of our main concerns are the thousands of acres north and west of our fields that drain through our farm. The water flows through the rock prairie eastward all the way to Janesville's Greenbelt eventually going to the Rock River. By building a rail bed this would change our while ecosystem. Our farmland couldn't drain eastward. (Please refer to a map of our section in the 2009-2010 crop year). This would make our farm a standing pool of water and worthless to us. Thank for your time.
