There is approximately 25 acres of woods on our farm that the proposed railroad would be cutting through. This woods runs along the ridgeline from Janesville to Walworth county. The woods is a huge habitat for various species. Including but not limited to: Whitetail, Fox, Coyotes, Turkeys, Geese, Ducks, Hawks, Rabbits, Squirrel, Owls, Whooping cranes, Bald Eagles (sighting the past couple days), Snowy owls(sighting this winter) and many other birds and animals. By having the rail line come through this woods, it will destroy great amounts of habitat and reduce animal populations. Our hunting land would be destroyed.
