Mr. Navecky, We are land owners directly affected by the GLB rail line, and the more I read, the harder the impact will be on us. First and foremost will be the destruction of the water flow onto our property. We have spent years and much money directing the water with waterways and tile work. This will be totally destroyed between the building of the rail line and the vibration of the trains. The water will be blocked from flowing south to the streams. Our farm ground will be flooded including our yard. The train is proposed to run facing our house, so the lights of the trains will shine right at us. The vibration of the trains will also be so close to our house it will shake the windows. Our sleep will be nonexistent! The proposed route will also land lock 2/3 of our property. Train wrecks are known to happen on a regular basis and the curve on our property would increase the chances of it happening here. We have a well supply our water and don't want it contaminated by a spill from whatever materials they may haul. Please do not let this happen to the people of Lake County !!
