I am very concerned about this railroad project! I'm pretty certain it will harm our farming community in so many ways. We are a crop farming family just like many others here. Our farm ground is prime land it produces very well. Destroying our farm ground by running freight trains through it is a horrible idea! It will also separate farmers from their farms! My husband will have a train track between us and his farm:( we just spent 2 years building a beautiful home and now this train threatens to make it a hazardous place for my children! We built here because it is quiet and close to the farm grain bins and sheds and this freight train will ruin that:( we choose to live here in the country because we do not want to live next to freight trains and toll roads etc.! We don't ever want to live in Chicago and now you are trying to bring Chicago to us and ruin our community! This freight is also suppose to run right next to my children's school! This school along with the rest of us use septic! If these freights spill hazardous chemicals and oil then it is endangering all of us and our children! Our fire departments don't even have the means to handle the dangers this freight brings! Cutting off and stopping our roads for trains non-stop is also scary for us! Getting emergency vehicles through will be very difficult! We live in the country so our children can ride bikes and play freely and if this freight happens it will be to dangerous for my kids to play outside. This freight will almost be in my back yard! Thank you for listening to my concerns!
