[Monroe Center] Dear Mr. Navecky, It only gets worse. We read a document from the GLB railroad about the propose route and it says that Telephone Road will be Stubbed due to the low population on that road. If that would happen it would close our only paved avenue to a county road. It would force us to drive on a gravel road north or south from telephone road. My husband has a tractor trailer business in which he stores his truck at our home. This would force this heavy vehicle to travel on Bennett Rd which is gravel to get to the nearest township road. Bennett road is a mess in the spring and winter. It gets soft and gets lots of ruts. If they choose(as it seems they will have the power to do whatever they feel) to close Telephone Road. It will be a mess. Not to mention how difficult is would be for us to get during the winter. If Telephone Rd was closed it would be difficult to navigate the gravel roads as they tend to be difficult to clean of snow and ice. This will be a major safety concern for us and our neighbors. The housed that are on Bennett Road usually use Telephone Rd. to get to a major road. I also worry about what this means for our school children who will be on buses longer and will have more turn arounds due to closed road. Did I mention that not only will be have to travel down the gravel Bennett Road but also the trail will cross that road. We hope the STB will see this project only solves Chicago's problems but makes problems for everyone else. Sincerely, Janet Hall
