Mr. Navecky, I just recently moved to Morgan Township in Valparaiso, IN, where the Great Lakes Railroad proposed route is planned, less then an 1/8 mile from my house. I have some very grave concerns about the development of this railroad and the pollution it will cause. I have 3 children aged 12, 10 and 6, all who have pediatric asthma. My primary motivation in moving to this rural area was so that my children could have fresh in polluted air to breathe. In fact, since we have moved back, all 3 kids symptoms have improved drastically. Their health will now be in jeopardy with the building of this railroad. Not only do we live less than an 1/8 from the proposed build site, all 3 are students at Morgan Township elementary and middle school, which is less than a 1/4 of the proposed tracks. They will not be able to escape pollution at home or school. I plead that you please reconsider this proposal.
