The rail tract is proposed to be on our farm in Ogle county on Mulford Rd. Our largest concern is how it will affect the environment in our farm community. I have been a member of the storm water committee in our county for many years; and know what the effects of grade and amount of fall, does with rainwater. The crossings of Rt. 38 and Mulford will hugely impact flooding in that area due to changes in elevations. Wet fields that don't dry out properly, due to elevation changes and broken tile lines, will not produce a crop. Our family has farmed this farm for the last 65 years and we were able to purchase it 25 years ago after years of hard work and savings. The thought of a possible hazardous spill, that would ruin the soil, is painful. How can this be allowed to happen in a fertile farmland area? We appeal to you to not let this happen, and realize that our farmland needs protecting! Raymond and Brenda Rainwater 14676 Twombly Rd. Rochelle, IL. 61068. 815-562-8587 Sent from iPad
