I am concerned with GLB's plan to stub 300 East near Malden, Indiana. Most of the year 300 East is not a heavily traveled road. However, during the busy times that road is used by farmers to keep farm equipment and grain trucks off of the state highway. The study needs to research the traffic on this road on a fall day in the middle of harvest heading to the grain terminal in Malden, IN. Then they need to take note of the traffic on Highway 49 during morning and evening rush hours. It would be almost impossible to find a break in the traffic large enough to get semi across northbound traffic and into the southbound lane and get up to highway speed without causing disruption. The farming community needs 300 East. It is a major safety issue forcing farm traffic onto the highway. Thanks for your consideration.
