Mr. Navecky, I am writing to voice my concerns with the proposed GLTB railroad. This railroad will cut through my family farm. My father works very hard to provide for my family, as my grandfather did before my father took over on the farm. Cutting through our fields will not only decrease the value of the field, it will create a dam causing water to not go where it needs to be in the field. This will cause the crop to either flood and not grow, or not get the water it needs to grow. The proposed route would cut through a field that currently has an irrigator on it. This very expensive piece of equipment would be trash, as they are custom to each field. It also concerns me that these trains will pollute our wells. We do not have city water or other means to obtain water. Another thing that really concerns me is the longer amount of time it will take for EMS and firefighters to reach a potential fire. Just in the past few years we have had more than one fire. I'm not sure if you're familair with farming at all, but equipment can very easily catch on fire. I really see no pros for this proposed railroad. Thank you for your time, Samantha Taber
