Dear Mr. Navecky, I’m a fourteen old from Ogle County, Illinois. A proposed train will travel .33 miles from our house. As a new driver and a farm girl at heart, I hope the STB will say no to the Great Lakes Basin Railroad. I live on a country road. It is likely that a train on our road will not have markings. As a new driver this causes fear. With the speed and frequency of the train, I will have to deal with this safety concern many times a day. The train would also split my family in half. Currently we are able to walk to our two aunt’s houses, great aunts, and great grandmothers. The train is proposed to cut between our homes on a gravel road that will possibly be closed. The alternative route to get to their house is four miles. I am a member of 4-H and show pigs. The idea of a train traveling fast past my barn will cause animal stress and pollution. We moved to this area live in the peaceful country. Please say no to the STB. There are safety concerns and it will affect farm animals in our area. Sincerely, Adrianne Hall
