Mr. Navecky, we are very concerned about the affects of major excavation needed to create a level grade for the proposed GLBrailroad thru our neighborhood. We have a steam, and several springs on our farm that are tributary to Turtle Creek that the RR will have to cross. Needless to say, we also we have a high water table in a limestone base. Our well has produced sand and a red colored water several times already in the last 7 years, when the local lime pits opened up periodically for road construction or repair. Also, The Waite family farm on the intersection of Hwy 140 and Townline road north of Clinton Wi of which we are owners of, still pastures our livestock on the hilly land, along with growing crops on the flattest land. How will we keep the livestock off of the track or move our farm equipment through our farm. The proposed GBLR splits the farm in half. It is dangerous now to drive equipment on Hwy 140 and certainly we cannot herd sheep or cattle down the HWY to fields that are proposed to be divided by the rail line. Please consider this destruction of our local watershed and ability to farm and support our families before you grant the GLBRail permission to rip thru Rock County Wi.-the best farmland in the state!. Thank you. Dave and Janette Waite Moyer and the entire Waite Family.
