[clinton] I have great concerns that Frank Patton wont be able to care for this for the long haul my brother too had a brain tumor and he thought he was all good at the 5 year mark it came back with a furry and killed him. He too may have this happen to him. I would think the process of building through 3 states will cost quite a bit i would hope he doesnt go to the cheepest bidder who isnt a profesional builder of 70mph trains. Who will take it over when he dies. How does each state get there share in taxes to pay for the roads that had to be rearainged for this project. if he hasn't done this type of project before how does he know the builders of this will be doing what is right they need to re build fences to keep animals in there pastures not to be spooked by the train. they need to be sure the firmness of the rail is stiff and sound they need drainage so the land wont fill with swamps the whole way they need to have the right tunnels for flooding rains and winter thaw on the streams and ones that wont contaminate the stream with out PBAs or other contaminants he sounds careless to farmers concerns and focused on industrial movement because that is where his money lays For him. I have heard from others that the developers promise a lot but once they are gone from building they don't come back to truly finish drainage problems and building flaws they are in it for the quick buck and nothing else the worlds food comes from only 8% that is left to farm if this is lost it is lost forever the signing of your pen has a lot of weight on it. It will effect thousands if not millions of people of this generation the next and everyone after that I hope money doesn't influance your pen and the future of millions of children does Thank you for you time I know you probably wont read it when there are so many projects your dealing with remember they are all deaply important its not just the signing of a pen Thank you for your time Melanie Hofstrom-Waite
