I am opposed to the proposed Great Lakes Basin Railroad project. This plan would create a large burden on the emergency services in the areas the train goes through. My very good friend is a volunteer firefighter in training and him and the other small crew of dedicated heroes would be at a great loss to deal with a derailment or spill, As you know oil spills from trains are on the rise nationwide and we need to all we can to prevent more form happening. I do not fell this track in this area would help the environment at all as the response time for a spill would be long and in the meantime land and possibly people would be harmed.
