I have 2 concerns. farm fields becoming land locked, if the rail splits a field, many fields have only one entrance, a safe and suitable crossing for trucks and machinery will need to be put in. my main concern is derailment, if this happens, the potential explosion and fire could be catastrophic. if there,s a home nearby or a school, the potential for disaster is enormous. the subsequent fire when crops are dry , especially near harvest time, could destroy hundreds of acres of crops. if a tanker car where just to rupture, the spill alone could be disaste rous to the environment not to mention the fertility of the crop land, noise is another factor, as the train horns can be heard for miles away, and this proposed route will be very close to many homes and towns. the roar from the rails will be bad enough, not to mention the horns.
