As a resident of LaSalle County I am opposing the Great Lakes Basin Railroad Project. It will cause great harm to our environment; we have wetlands, farm tile and we are a wildlife sanctuary. There grave concerns regarding our water table, our well, noise pollution, wild life concerns, first responder issues and concerns in case of a spill, we have no way out except the river. Please give this much research and thought before considering this project. Our farm land which this train proposes to use will be useless in areas. Thank you, Elizabeth Varnes,a very concerned resident of LaSalle County.
