Although I am not a professional in transportation, economic growth or industry as you all are my concern is that the close proximity of the rail to Bluhm County park would change the plan, use and enjoyment of the property. The increased noise, reduced natural landscape views and constant traffic would definitely take away from the public enjoyment of our park. I feel you have done a lot of research as to the need of this rail but my problem is obviously with the proposed route. I am not questioning the convenience or the need for the rail only the affect the route will have on our park and community. Also, I'd at very least like to see a quiet zone around the park as the engines are loud enough and constant horns would make it that much worse. We have horse riders at that park and being 100 yards away would likely spook horses and eventually get someone hurt by being thrown from a horse. Please consider utilizing a different route around Bluhm County Park and the town of Westville.
