I am opposed to Great Lakes Basin Railroad harming the environment of rural Illinois. This proposed railroad would run along many fault lines that branch out form the New Madrid Fault in Illinois. My house is on the Sandwich fault line and it often shakes the house, it would be especially harmful to the proposed elevated fly over" crossings the railroad proposes if an earthquake was to occur. I am also opposed to it because of the marshes and ponds that would be created from the blockage of natural drainage."
