FD 35852 · CANAVERAL PORT AUTHORITY - PETITION FOR EXEMPTION TO CONSTRUCT AND OPERATE A RAIL LINE EXTENSION TO PORT CANAVERAL, FL

Comment EI-21158

Received or sent (printed as 10/30/2015)

Having lived in close proximity to the proposed rail site for 23 years, I have witnessed the decline of the health of the Banana River Lagoon first hand. This estuary does not exist anywhere else in the world and preserving it should be done above all else. For that reason alone I would never even consider crossing it with a freight rail of any kind. My solution would be to suggest that Port Canaveral focus on it's expanded cruise business instead.
