FD 35852 · CANAVERAL PORT AUTHORITY - PETITION FOR EXEMPTION TO CONSTRUCT AND OPERATE A RAIL LINE EXTENSION TO PORT CANAVERAL, FL

Comment EI-20772

Received or sent (printed as 12/17/2014)

FD 35852 W018992-111914 our is opposition" to the permit exemption regarding the Port Extension proposal to construct a railroad through the lagoon and wetlands of NMI and the MI Wildlife Refuge for cargo freight. Our “scoping comments” were requested and many have been voiced, again we repeat ours as property owners, and wildlife protection advocates. These areas a sanctuary to many endangered varieties of birds, turtles and other species. Another point is the flooding conditions that exist in this N Merritt Island area. We already experience conditions in non storm events that are health hazards and property devaluation. Impacting the balance that wildlife and land use for a railroad connection for any freight or transportation purpose is why our negative voice and written objection is provided to encourage your rejection of W018992-111914 in FD 35852 Thank you Pat & Ted Balke, owners at 690 E Crisafulli Rd Merritt Island Fl. 32953 Route selection through the lagoon, wetlands of NMI and the MI Wildlife Refuge must be rejected!!"
