FD 35852 · CANAVERAL PORT AUTHORITY - PETITION FOR EXEMPTION TO CONSTRUCT AND OPERATE A RAIL LINE EXTENSION TO PORT CANAVERAL, FL

Comment EI-20750

Received or sent (printed as 12/13/2014)

I want to voice my opposition to the Port Canaveral rail line project through the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. The Indian River Lagoon is already in an extremely fragile condition and this project will further degrade this precious ecosystem and will negatively affect wildlife including scrub jays, gopher tortoises, and marine mammals. The project will in addition be unsightly in an area known for its natural beauty. I urge to to please respect these habitats and stop this project.
