Please find the need to decline the canaveral port authority request for the banana river area for the rail extension proposal. Historically any obstructions/barriers placed within the rivers has had a major impact on the rivers flow and the eco balance needs of the wildlife that depended on it. The construction of the Max Brewer bridge has totally disturbed the distribution of aquatic wildlife balance. Talking to the old boys" about fishing before and after bridge construction and "economic" development is heartbreaking. Brevard County florida Port Commissioners with the support of the Governor are looking at immediate dollars in their pockets and not the immediate and extended impact of this request. Last year seagrass replanting projects were performed in the banana and indian rivers to attempt to correct the starvation of the manatees and aquatic life from major red algae blooms caused by chemical contaminations. Again your true attention to the ecological impact to the rivers and the wildlife will support the need to decline the CPA request. Thank you"
