I just purchased property in the Savannahs subdivision on Merritt Island. I am opposed to the rail extension running through the natural preserve having an impact on the protected wildlife in that area. I am also concerned about the possibility of a derailment or spill from the cargo trains. This rail will also have a negative impact on my quality of life as well as the value and classification of my property. The rail running through the preserve that has been protected for decades will put wildlife and vegetation at risk. Please DO NOT build that rail line running through this area.
