In connection with the proposed 11 miles of new rail line to Port Canaveral (Port) in Brevard County, Florida, I do not see why they have to build new bridges or causeways (as proposed) at all. Why couldn't they simply use the existing roadbed proceeding north through the Canaveral AFB, turning NW near Peterson Point, then following the Industrial Bypass Rd. then crossing over NASA Parkway East to make connection with the existing line near the junction of the Pkwy and Kennedy Parkway? That would involve no new bridges or causeways.
