FD 35852 · CANAVERAL PORT AUTHORITY - PETITION FOR EXEMPTION TO CONSTRUCT AND OPERATE A RAIL LINE EXTENSION TO PORT CANAVERAL, FL

Comment EI-20639

Received or sent (printed as 11/1/2014)

I am very much in favor of the projected rail design for FD 35852. I live close to where the rail is projected to be (Chase Hammock Road) and I understand the impact to our area. We are close to a National Refuge on Merritt Island and this rail during construction will have a negative impact on wildlife, natural plants/greenery but after that construction life goes back to almost normal. The projected number of routes per day is far better than if the alternative was cars/trucks from the port to delivery locations. I also believe any growth to Port Canaveral will have a positive economic impact to all the outlying areas such as Merritt Island, Cocoa Beach, Cocoa, Rockledge, Titusville.
