My comments are in regard to the proposed reactivation of a portion of the Beech Creek Rail Line from Wallaceton to Gorton with the resulting destruction of a popular, multi-use recreational rail trail (STB Finance Docket # 35116 Attention: Danielle Gosselin). Please know that I am adamently opposed to this rail service for an out-of-state garbage dump, which Central Pennsylvania clearly does NOT want as documented by various remarks via newspapers, town meetings, and letters to several state agencies and politicians. RRLLC has been railroading" their outlandish claims of the positive economics for our region since 2004; however,no true harms-benefit analysis could support their claims. The negative impacts of a landfill (the sole purpose for this rail line activation) whether it be noise, smells, leaking train cars or leaking liners, truck traffic, forest/water/wildlife and recreational destruction are all evils that should not be perpetrated through rail service. Thank you for considering my comments."
