Please forward this to Anne Quinlan, Acting Secretary. The CN Railroad acquisition and use of the EJ&E needs to be passed and I strongly support this endeavor. It's time to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to speed rail traffic around Chicago and long overdue. I understand the concerns of some of the towns along the way, however, I live in Lombard, Illinois where I cross the very busy Union Pacific tracks many times a day. It is only one in a blue moon that I need to wait more than four minutes for a train to clear, certainly not an inconvenence. Several years ago, Elmhurst, IL had a situation where they wanted to improve the ability of ambulances to get around their very long trains that come out of the switching yards east of the town. They simply built a viadock and it's not a problem. I'd recommend that Barrington do the same so we can have the long-term benefit of this way of improving railroad transportation. In addition, it will take some of the trains out of the city where it will improve the live of those citizens. Certainly, Barrington needs to recognize that they buy the same products other's in this city acquire, yet, they aren't willing to participate in the costs everyone else absorbs for them. But then, people in Barrington are from a very wealthy town and believe they are prividged." Home values there averate $350,000 and median income is $82,000. They aren't used to sacrifice. But the main point is the benefit everyone else will see. Sincerely."
