Hello. We are residents of Hawthorn Woods (Mr. and Mrs. Tokman at 9 Park Place Cir). We would like to express our concerns about turning our beautiful, clean and quiet neighborhood into noisy, polluted and congested industrial area. We attended the public meeting held on August 26th in Mundelein IL and completely in agreement with other concern citizens about all issues, like noise, pollution, delays of emergency response. But we think that another very important issue is overlooked. In our neighborhood majority of houses have well water. In case of hazardous materials (transported by CN) accident, we would have a major contamination of the underground water and this will make the area not suitable for living.
