STB Finance Docket No. 35087 While I agree that the proposed Railway purchase will have benefits, it should not be done at the expense of the citizens. The purchase will save the Canadian National RR $$, at the expense of Barrington & other communities residents. Canadian National RR should not be allowed to make the purchase unless they agree to make the necessary road work so that traffic is not impeded. Emergency response will also be delayed due to waiting on these longer freight trains. In addition, people will learn about the longer delays around Barrington & will go elsewhere, which will hurt the Barrington economy. Canadian National RR needs/desires need to be balanced with the needs/desires of the communities that would be negatively impacted.
