Let's see if I have this correct: a positive vote for the Canadian National Railway's purchase of the EJ&E rail line means; new jobs for Canadians, loss of jobs for west coast American dock workers, more profitability for a Canadian Company, more pay for its Canadian employees and officers, increased safety and environmental issues for American, State of Illinois and dozens of American communities? American communities additional tax burden to mitigate the safety and environmental problems caused by this purchase. Increase in taxes for American taxpayers, reduced property values for tens of thousands of American homeowners. Reduced assessments and the following reduced real estate taxes in dozens of American communities. Sounds like a no brainer" to me. But, I believe the STB has brains and expect them to deny the purchase!"
