STB Finance Docket No. 35087 Ms. Johnson-Ball, I am writing to express my grave concen regarding the proposed acquisition of the EJ&E Railroad ny the Canadian National Railroad. The impact upon our community will be all negative. The increased freight traffic would create extreme safety concerns atthe 840 school bus crosings as well as fire, hospital and police delays. In addition the eceonic impact will be severe as downtown shopping and dining will be adversely effected. IN addition the housing values will drop precipitously as there will be little interest in moving in to a conjested rail environment. Why do we need to bend to the economic will of a foreign who will reap all the benefit at our cost? Finally, Barrington has been in existence long before the rail lines came in. We have adjusted to accompdate the appropriate level of freight activity however asking us the bear all the burden so a disinterested foreign company can benefit is beyond the concept of decency and fairness to American tax payers. Thak you for your interest and I will appreciate your reply to my concerns. Bruce Reynolds
