Dear Phillis, In reviewing the preliminary EIS I find it difficult to swallow that our federal gov't finds it acceptable, particularly during these poor economic times, to approve this acuisition knowing it will reduce our home values even further, put our children at risk with parks practically on top of these RR tracks, the tracks going through our forest preserves with many major hiking and biking trails, and most of all the high risk these trains will have for potentially dangerous spills. If you are going to minimize all of these impacts then I request one thing for some peace of mind and that is to include mitigation requirements for CN to install a brown 20 foot concrete and steel noise/protection wall along the RR right of way from Shoe Factory road to Golf rd. The house lot lines and park along this stretch range from right next to the RR right of way to less than 30 feet from the right of way. Please consider including this type of mitigation. If you require each individual community to negotiate with the giant CN we all know we will never receive anything. Thank you for your consideration. Nadine
