Please add my name to the list of those seeking on behalf of the Canadian National Railroad the right to acquire the EJE RR in hopes of securing a more expediant route thru and around Chicago. Also consider allowing the CN to improve its acquisition by adding tracks, making connections, installing and upgrading required signals, etc. and bringing this existing railroad up to modern standards. While I am for the approval of this CN acquisition, I am also hoping to see the CN's responsibility in preserving railroad historical preservation, as in (the two roundhouses and the like) that are on EJE property. The STB should also be aware that the CEO of the CN,formerly of the Illinois Central, and a person who I believe to have great insight in only bringing this acquisition to fruition for the betterment of all parties involved. He is a railroaders' railroader coming up thru the ranks and making his way to the top of perhaps North America's finest Railroad. Sign me as such of a supporter of goodwill. This acquistion can only have excellant results in jobs and job creation, a better and more efficient, and greener way to move products, and passengers. Especially as we face higher and higher fuel prices. It is only reasonably sound thinking that the STB along with the FRA and all government agencies would be extolling the benefits of rail power, by hastening the expansion of not only this single CN/EJE episode, but encouraging other carriers' to expand, and find an alternative railroad passenger service to pickup where our failing airlines leave off. The railroads did it in the past, well I guess history is about to repeat itself. Thank You James A. Swidergal
