I am concerned about the proposed changes to the railway lines in my neighborhood. I feel that the significant increase in traffic is not appropriate or safe for the 17 Illinois School District 204 schools that are close to this rail line. With the current traffic on the line, it already causes some rush hour gridlock; the increase in traffic will only worsen this problem. It may also cause a delay in the ability of emergency response vehicles to respond to emergency situations. I am not in favor of transporting hazardous material through our community as this places all the residents and children in this area in harms way in case of an accident or derailment.
