Ms. Johnson-Ball, I am writing in opposition of Canadian Rail's proposed purchase of the E,J,&E Railway. CN's planned increase of train traffic through several residential communities, including mine, would be disruptive to road commuters, and would increase noise levels substantially. Additionally, the E,J,&E rail lines run through neighborhoods densely poulated with children. Increased rail traffic leads to increased potential for fatalities when children are nearby. The damage to property values due to the increased noise and traffic delays would be devastating to many of us. I ask that you please oppose the transaction for the safety of the people in our community. Thank you for your consideration. Bob Ratini
