My husband and I are writing to protest the sales of the Elgin, Joliet & Eastern Railway by the Canadian National Railway and Grand Trunk Corporation (together, CN). The planned increase in rail traffic would damage our community by increasing gridlock and endangering citizens and students who routinely pass over crossings not intended for traffic of the magnitude proposed.
