In regards to the acquisition of the EJ&E railway by the Canadian Ntl Railway, I hope in earnest that the STB will impose strict guidelines on safety and environmental issues. I live less than 1 mile away from the railroad in a subdivision that is filled with small children. While I understand the economic benefits of such a transaction, the quality and safety of lives is a much more valuable consideration. Thank you for keeping an eye on the BIG picture.
