I strongly encourage you to require the Canadian National Railway's to continue to maintain/operate a vital line of transportation from the Heartland of Central and Southern Illinois people. Our family uses Amtrak as an alternative mode of transportation to get to the Chicagoland area. My children love to ride the train to Chicago. Please do not allow the abandonment of any railway lines that connect Southern & Central Illinois with the City of Chicago!!!! PS. I went online yesterday to make a reservation for my son & I to take Amtrak up to Chicago this weekend and no seats were available out of the Effingham terminal. This certainly provides support that Amtrak is used by many to get to Chicago.
