To Whom It May Concern: My Name is Don Cook. I have been a resident of Lake Zurich Illinois for 15 years. In this time I have been very active in my community: Baseball Coach, Football Coach, Cub Scout Cubmaster. This puts me in contact with a large population of our community. The meeting held recently about the proposed sale of the E.J. & E. Rail line was not well attended, but I assure you that if the facts are publicized a far greater turnout and response will happen. It is unreasonable for the rail traffic on this line to increase so profoundly. The traffic at its current state is frequent but manageable and its impact is minor to the community. The proposed increase of 10 times the traffic would cripple traffic through our town and other communities down the line such as Barrington. This is largely a middle class residential community with very limited industrial base. Any community such as ours would not invite not only the increase in traffic but the potential increase of hazardous materials rolling down the rails. As a concerned citizen of this community. I urge The STB to strongly investigate the impact to all communities along the current E. J. & E. Rail line. I would suggest further open forums to give these communities a chance to really understand what the future may hold. Thank you for your time. Donald Cook Lake Zurich Illinois Resident
