I believe the planned purchase of the EJ&E by the CN is a very good idea, but wish for one considderation: Heavy rail traffic on the EJ&E will often have to wait at rail intersections like Spaulding in Bartlett, and in Barrington, where a higher volume of priority trains would have the right of way from dispatchers. The increased trains sitting and waiting along the EJ&E would add to the likelyhood of the road crossings being blocked. It would be to both the public's and CN best interest to build rail fly-overs or bridges to separate the rail intersections, and keep rail traffic moving. The sum of the costs to build these few rail separations might be less than the many road-rail bridges needed to allow street traffic and emergency vehicles to pass all the otherwise stopped trains on the EJ&E. Thanks for this oportunity. I look forward to the continued fine managment of this project. Joe Jastrzebski, Bartlett, IL
