Docket #35087 I'm writing you this letter in hopes of getting help to stop the Canadian National Railway acquisition of the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway. This will impact our community of Bartlett, IL in the worse way possible. This will cause very harmful toxin's in the air and pollute our childern's lives by train traffic. This will cause a tremendous amounts of traffic in our town, which it will cause more pollution. We can't get to work on time or pick up our kids on time as it is. And they want to increase train traffic from 5 trains to 28 trains per day. That is more than one per hour. This is a no brainer. NO, NO, NO. Stop this now. This will cause more accidents from train traffic and we can't not afford to hurt our childern. Which by the way there are two schools very near by and the traffic and pollution alone will cause stress on people and on the environment. Not to mention our public saftey. the village of Bartlett is building a new fire house very close to the tracks and the entire west side of Bartlett will be impacted by the fire trucks not able to service the west side of Bartlett because of them being stopped by trains. So I ask! Would you allow this in your community? Would you allow more pollution to impact your life? I didn't think so. All we ask is to stop this. What is wrong with CN to stay where there at. One word greed". We are not push overs here. And I would like to know is the government or CN going to pay us for our property values going down because of this acquisition? And when we get sick and when we lose pay because we are stuck in train traffic? Are you going to pay us for that? Please say no to this acquisition. It would help us alot. We are trying to build a community not destroy it. Thank you so much. And remember NO means NO!"
