Regarding the CN Rails acquisition of the EJ & E My family, including my aging parents, live in Barrington. My husband and I are concerned about their access to hospitals in times of emergency. Also, I work in Barrington on Hart Road. I am concerned about the impact of daily congestion on my commute. Moreover, I am very concerned about increased pollution in the valley-like area of downtown Barrington. With thousands of cars idling all day, pollution will be caught in the low-lying area and contribute to poor respiratory health for Barrington's seniors, children, and people with asthma. Finally, the impact on the historical districts are going to be felt. Increased congestion, noise, and pollution will render these downtown neighborhoods areas undesirable. This will contribute to an unseemly demise and change the character of Barrington forever.
