Re:The proposed Canadian National Railway acquisition of the Elgin, Joliet and Easter Railway. As a 40 year resdident of Barrington, I have seen this area grow to be a part of a busy and congested area. Heavily traveled Routes 59 and 14 cut through the town and converge at the northern edge Traffic comes to a stanstill NOW when the EJ&E and Northwestern Metra cross these thoroughfares. As a resident of the area south of Main Street/Lake-Cook Road, adding more train traffic would cut us off from ambulance/parmedic services for long periods of time making transportation to our local hospital, Advocate Good Shepherd, extremely difficult. Please consider these and many other negative impacts on our community and deny this acquisition. Thank you.
