I would like to submit my concern regarding the proposed Canadian National Railway purchase of the EJ&E railroad. In my area of Southwest Naperville, IL, there are several at-grade crossings (Wolf's Crossing/Normantown Rd, Montgomery Rd and another that I cannot recall.) These crossings are a hazard today; but are of greater concern going forward if the Canadian National Railroad increases traffic on these tracks. My largest concern is for the safety of commuters crossing these at-grade tracks. With a recent redistricting of our high schools, over 2000 families will need to cross these tracks to get to their high school, in addition to the many commuters who already cross the tracks. These at-grade tracks coupled with an increase in train traffic plus an increase in school traffic adds up to an increase in train/commuter accidents. My second concern is the toxic waste hauling. This area is highly populated, though it was once vacant farmland. Bringing all that waste through a heavily populated area is not a good idea. Finally, I am very concerned about congestion. Today, these roads are heavily travelled and get severely congested when a train passes through. (Some of these trains currently take up to 11 minutes to pass a crossing.) These roadways are already busy. We don't need further congestion. Thank you in advance for your consideration to keep our area safe. Dawn Summers
