Regarding the proposed Canadian National Railway acquisition of the Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway, (STB Finance Docket No. 35087) I am a business owner in Barrington. The additional volume of trains planned to roll through Barrington will have a significant negative impact on our company. The trains close both the North/South traffic and the East/West traffic as they roll through Barrington. If this planned additional volume of trains goes throug, we will be forced to relocate our company out of Barrington. Our employees will be unduly burdened by the additional volume of trains. In addition to the lost time and inconvenience, I live in Barrington and feel that the additional volume of trains will negatively affect our quality of life. We selected Barrington 10 years ago as nice place to raise our family and feel the additional volume of train traffic presents presents a potentially dangerous situation to our community. I ask that you please disallow any plan that will increase the volume of train traffic through Barrington to the level that the Canadian National Railway plan does. Thank You, William G. Fergus
