I am against the proposed Canadian National Railway Co. acquisition. Barrington already has trains constantly contributing to traffic delays and more importantly unsafe conditions in our community. Hospitals and emergency vehicles respond on time but can not get to the injured people due to delays at crossings. Children can not walk or ride bikes safely in their own town. Adding 15-20 more trains a day can only encourage havoc for our town! Also, what will happen to property values and the viability of growth in a town that has continual train traffic and noise. None of the people here moved into the area thinking it would become an undesireable area with an additonal main train thoroughfare. How many railroads do we have to have? In addition we have Route 59 and Lake Cook road which adds tremendous car traffic. The addition of this railway will destroy our town. You would not want this to happen to your town! Thank you for your time. Nila Schwab
