DO NOT make my family a memorial crosswalk for a quick buck. The increase of rail traffic along the EJ&E rail would make my family of FOUR KIDS at great risk for the next 18 years as they would have to cross the tracks multipe times daily. The back up of cars already extends block past our home during all day-light hours. The rerouting of trains to lesser used tracks will increase the displacement of wildlife along the tracks causing them to run into traffic and my neighborhood. The time daily to go 8 blocks across town is currently 10-15 min ride average. With traffic backed up thru our Historic town. This is a hometown community please keep it that. The town already averages multiple deaths to trains and car crashes in the hundreds to trains. The trains have done nothing to increase public safety, but spend millions on making the trains more fuel efficient. The railroad crossings have not been made safer in fourty years. How many deaths will it take to stop unnecessary traffic and keep my Kids alive? public safety
