Concerning the planned acquisition (Canadian National and EJ&E): I live about 2 miles from the high school at the opposite end of town. My family and I drive that 2 miles at least 16 times per week and MUST cross the tracks each time. Increased freight traffic will tie up the roads contributing to traffic congestion that is already terrible at rush hours, and the idling cars will significantly effect emissions. Also, MANY 16-18 year olds drive that route and are not good at judging how to stop near tracks; this is a safety issue.
