STB Finance Docket No. 35087 I am a local resident that would be affected by the CN acquisition of the EJ&E railroad. In Bartlett, I live in the newly developed area west of the railroad tracks. Due to the land space constraints, there is no fire station on the west side of the tracks. In an emergency, all emergency vehicles have to cross the tracks. An increase in rail traffic of the magnitude being proposed is going to waste precious time that could save lives. The closest hospital is then back over the tracks to the east. If an ambulance gets stopped both ways, this surely could mean the difference between life and death. There is also an elementary school in our subdivison, and I worry about our children getting emergency care in a timely fashion. In addition, I worry about the incidence of accidents going up with this increased traffic. There is also an environmental concern with the pollution that our children will be exposed to on the playgroud with the increased freight trains. Please take the time to reconsider the impact of this decision, and how it affects the youth of America. Thank You, Julie Gard, A Very Concerned Citizen
